The NASA IceBridge ATM L1B Elevation and Return Strength data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated through 25 November 2017.

This data set contains spot elevation measurements of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice, and Greenland, Antarctic Peninsula, and West Antarctic region ice surface acquired using the NASA Airborne Topographic Mapper (ATM) instrumentation.

The MEaSUREs Greenland Image Mosaics from Sentinel-1A and -1B, Version 2 data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) has been updated with mosaics through April 2018. This data set, part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program, provides 6 and 12-day 50 m resolution image mosaics of the Greenland coastline and ice sheet periphery beginning in January 2015.

Version 1.3 of the MEaSUREs Calibrated Enhanced-Resolution Passive Microwave Daily EASE-Grid 2.0 Brightness Temperature ESDR, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) for all sensors. The changes in this minor version update vary depending on the sensor and are listed by sensor in Table 11 of the user guide.

Reprocessing of the AMSR-E/AMSR2 Unified L2B Half-Orbit 25 km EASE-Grid Surface Soil Moisture, Version 1 data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), is complete for all data from 2 July 2012 to present. The Beta 02 (B02) algorithm update corrects an error that caused only half of each swath to be processed. This data set includes surface soil moisture estimates derived from L1R brightness temperatures from AMSR2.

The High Mountain Asia ASCAT Freeze/Thaw/Melt Status data is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This Level-3 data set provides freeze/thaw/melt status over seasonally frozen land and snowmelt status over glaciated areas for high mountain Asia glacier and snow regions. Daily F/T/M status is derived from vertically polarized (V-pol), C-band (5.255 GHz) Advanced Scatterometer (ASCAT Metop-A and Metop-B) backscatter measurements.

The NASA IceBridge LVIS L2 Geolocated Surface Elevation Product data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated through 20 September 2017. This data set contains surface elevation measurements from NASA's Land, Vegetation, and Ice Sensor (LVIS) over areas including Greenland, Alaska, and Antarctica. The data were collected as part of NASA Operation IceBridge funded campaigns.

The NASA IceBridge LVIS L1B Geolocated Return Energy Waveforms data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated through 20 September 2017. This data set contains laser altimetry return energy waveform measurements taken from NASA’s Land, Vegetation, and Ice Sensor (LVIS) over areas including Greenland, Alaska, and Antarctica. The data were collected as part of Operation IceBridge funded campaigns.

The SnowEx17 Time Series Sonic Snow Depth Measurement data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).

The SnowEx17 Ground-Based UWScat Ku- and X-Band Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave Radar data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).

The ASO L4 Lidar Snow Water Equivalent 50m UTM Grid data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) from 08 February 2016 to 08 July 2016.

The ASO L4 Lidar Snow Depth 3m UTM Grid data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) from 08 February 2016 to 26 June 2016.

The NASA IceBridge DMS L0 Camera Calibration data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated through 19 April 2018. This data set contains camera calibration reports for IceBridge Digital Mapping System (DMS) missions flown over Antarctica and Greenland.

This data set contains Level-1B imagery taken from the Digital Mapping System (DMS) over Greenland and Antarctica. The data were collected as part of Operation IceBridge funded aircraft survey campaigns.

This data set contains Level-0 imagery taken from the Digital Mapping System (DMS) over Antarctica and Greenland. The data were collected as part of Operation IceBridge funded aircraft survey campaigns.

New data access options are available for the MEaSUREs Greenland Monthly Image Mosaics from MODIS, Version 1 data set accessible from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). The direct download location for this MEaSUREs (Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments) data set has changed, and both temporal searching and ordering are now available through NASA Earthdata Search using the Package Options button on the data set Web page.

The NASA IceBridge POS/AV L1B Corrected Position and Attitude Data data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated through 19 April 2018. This data set contains georeferencing data from the Applanix 510 POS AV system flown with the Digital Mapping System (DMS) and other instruments over Greenland and Antarctica. Data parameters include latitude, longitude, altitude, velocity, roll, pitch, and heading.

The NASA IceBridge Snow Radar L1B Geolocated Radar Echo Strength Profiles data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated through 25 November 2017. This data set contains radar echograms taken from the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets (CReSIS) ultra wide-band snow radar over land and sea ice in the Arctic and Antarctic. The data were collected as part of Operation IceBridge funded campaigns.

The ASO L4 Lidar Snow Depth 50m UTM Grid data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) from 08 February 2016 to 16 August 2017.
This data set contains 50 m gridded snow depths derived from airborne light detection and ranging, or lidar, measurements of surface elevations.

The AMSR-E/AMSR2 Unified L2B Half-Orbit 25 km EASE-Grid Surface Soil Moisture, Version 1 data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated to the Beta 02 (B02) algorithm. The B02 update corrects an error that caused only half of each swath to be processed. Processing with the B02 algorithm began on May 03 2018. Data from July 07 2012 through May 02 2018 will be reprocessed.
