The ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3A Ocean Surface Height, Version 1 data set from the Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) mission is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains along-track sea surface heights at variable length scales over cloud-free regions. Estimates of height distributions, surface roughness, surface slope, and apparent reflectance are also provided. The data are available beginning 13 October 2018 and may have gaps in coverage due to processing lag times. These temporal and spatial data gaps are expected to be filled in the coming weeks. This data set is being made available as an early release with minimal documentation currently available. An increased Level of Service and more detailed documentation will be available in the future.
