The following table lists the tools and services available for ICESat-2 data.

A NASA funded collaborative project between the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, San Diego Supercomputer Center, NSIDC DAAC, and UNAVCO.
NASA Earthdata Search Search, visualize, and access data across thousands of Earth science data sets, including ICESat, IceBridge, and ICESat-2. Customization services are available for most ICESat-2 data sets, including subsetting and reformatting. Web application NASA EOSDIS, supported by NSIDC DAAC.
Data Access and Service API The NSIDC DAAC's Application Programming Interface, or API, provides spatial and temporal filtering as well as customization options as a single access command, without the need to script against our data directory structure. API

The HDFGroup

PhoREAL is a library of tools and source code to help scientists and researchers more easily use Icesat-2 ATL03 and ATL08 data products.

On Windows systems, the PhoREAL toolbox can be run as a Graphical User Interface (GUI) executable (.exe).

On Linux systems, the PhoREAL toolbox can be run as a Python GUI or as a series of Python function commands via the Linux command line.

Output the data into several different file formats for further analysis including .las, .csv, and .kml.

Trim IceSat-2 ground track data by latitude or time, plot the resulting ATL03 data, and save any figures created.

A python software library for obtaining and working with ICESat-2 data.

A shared library of resources - including existing resources, new code, tutorials, and use-cases/examples - that simplify the process of querying, obtaining, analyzing, and manipulating ICESat-2 datasets to enable scientific discovery.  Developed and maintained by a community composed of ICESat-2 data users, developers, scientists, and students.

PhotonLabeler A graphic user interface (GUI) for visual interpretation, manual labeling and visualization of ICESat-2 Geolocated Photon data (ATL03). Downloadable tool Read and display ATL03 HDF5 files, manually label individual photons into target classes, save labeled data to ASCII format, and save and load labeling sessions. Github
IceFlow A Python library simplifying the combined access of Pre-IceBridge, IceSat/GLAS, IceBridge and IceSat-2 point cloud data. The accompanying Jupyter notebook tutorial explains the usage of the library.
