User Notice: MODIS and VIIRS processing has resumed

All Terra- and Aqua-MODIS forward-processing was resumed on July 31, 2023, and the SNPP- and JPSS1-VIIRS forward-processing was resume on August 1, 2023. NSIDC is currently working to ingest the backlog of MODIS and VIIRS data, which may take several days. Users should expect a permanent data gap in the SNPP VIIRS data sets for the period ~2:03:33 UTC on Jul 26, 2023 through ~16:50 UTC July 27. Furthermore, the data generated immediately after recovery from the SNPP spacecraft anomaly could be reprocessed in the coming days/weeks if it is deemed necessary by the VIIRS Science Team following assessments of instrument performance.
