Upcoming Release: VIIRS Collection 2 (Version 2)

VIIRS Collection 2 (Version 2) will be available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) in the coming weeks. Collection 2 will include new and improved VIIRS SNPP snow, sea ice, and ice surface temperature data sets, as well as the first public release of VIIRS data from the JPSS-1 (NOAA-20) satellite, which was launched on November 18, 2017.  Users who wish to be notified when the new Collection 2 data is released may sign up for the VNP10 (or any other VIIRS data set) mailing list to receive a notification when Collection 2 is released.
