New versions available: ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3B Daily and Monthly Gridded Sea Ice Freeboard, Version 4 and Daily and Monthly Gridded Polar Sea Surface Height Anomaly, Version 3

The ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3B Daily and Monthly Gridded Sea Ice Freeboard (ATL20), Version 4 and ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3B Daily and Monthly Gridded Polar Sea Surface Height Anomaly (ATL21), Version 3 data sets, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), have been released. These data sets contain daily and monthly gridded sea ice freeboard estimates, and daily and monthly gridded polar sea surface height (SSH) anomalies, derived from the along-track ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3A Sea Ice Height product (ATL10).  Changes with these versions are detailed in Section 3 Version History of the user guides.  Temporal coverage for both data sets now spans 14 October 2018 to 01 April 2023 with updates published regularly.

Previous versions of these data sets will be retired from the NSIDC DAAC in six months. Upon retirement, data will no longer be accessible. All related documentation will remain available on the data set web pages for future reference.
