New data set release: MEaSUREs Grounding Zone of the Antarctic Ice Sheet, Version 1

The MEaSUREs Grounding Zone of the Antarctic Ice Sheet, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set is produced under the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program. It provides a comprehensive map of the Antarctic Ice Sheet’s grounding zone (i.e., the short-term variation of the grounding line over a given period due to changes in oceanic tide) for 2018, 2019, or 2020, depending on imagery availability. The data is produced with Sentinel-1 A/B and COSMO SkyMed synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data using the differential satellite interferometric synthetic aperture radar (DInSAR) technique and complements the delineation of grounding lines provided in MEaSUREs Antarctic Grounding Line from Differential Satellite Radar Interferometry.
