On Wednesday, August 24, at 12 p.m. MDT/ 2 p.m. EDT, the NASA EOSDIS (Earth Observing System Data and Information System) Communications Team will host a free webinar, presented by Leslie Goldman and Gail Reckase with the NSIDC DAAC (Distributed Active Archive Center).

During this webinar, which will last just over an hour, we’ll tour NSIDC.org’s enhanced data product landing pages, new user resources, data visualization tools, and other features. We’ll also provide a Jupyter notebook tutorial showing how to access cryosphere data at NSIDC DAAC.

Participants must register in advance.

This upcoming webinar is aimed towards helping our long-term users get better acquainted with the new look, layout, and organization of the website. It’s also perfect for new and potential users to get a foundational understanding of what data NSIDC DAAC offers; and how to search, discover and access the data and resources we provide on the website.

In addition to this webinar, you can find some guidance around how to navigate the website in our Spotlight article NSIDC.org website: New look and new features. If you’re new to accessing data on our website, you can also get some help on the page Get Started with NSIDC Data.

Of course, if you need more personalized assistance, our User Support Office (USO) is standing by to answer your questions. Just send us an email by clicking the “Support” button located in the bottom right corner of our website, and a helpful Data Support Specialist will respond as quickly as possible. We welcome questions, or just general feedback on the new website.

We hope to see you at the webinar!
