What is AMSR-E Slow Rotation Data?
AMSR-E Slow Rotation Data is a research product distributed by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) that have been obtained with a slow rotation of AMSR-E's antenna at 2 rotations per minute (rpm).
Users should note that these data are much different and the observed areas are sparse compared to the standard data products that were obtained at 40 rpm until 04 October 2011. This slow rotation product may be useful to those interested in generating data from slow rotation in general and/or those who would like to cross-calibrate AMSR-E with other radiometers. The data are available from 05 December 2012 to present, with about a month delay.
