The GLIMS Glacier Viewer now includes both versions 6.0 and 7.0 of the Randolph Glacier Inventory (RGI) outlines as layers.
This feature allows users to directly compare the two RGI outline versions using a map-based interface, without the need to download any data. Additionally, by displaying the RGI version 7.0 layer along with the GLIMS glacier outlines layer, users can see which GLIMS glacier outline was selected for the RGI version 7.0 dataset. They can also learn both RGI version 6.0 and 7.0 IDs for a specific outline, as these IDs are not identical.
