The Images of the Antarctic Ice Shelves tool as well as the Images of Antarctic Ice Shelves, Version 1 data set, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) has been retired as of 13 June 2023. Images of Antarctic Ice Shelves, Version 1 data has been incorporated into the Images of the Antarctic Ice Shelves, Version 2 data set. The Images of the Antarctic Ice Shelves tool will not be updated to allow users to search and preview the most recent data. All related data set documentation will remain available on the data set web page for future reference. We recommend using the Images of Antarctic Ice Shelves, Version 2 data set https://nsidc.org/data/nsidc-0102/versions/2. Version 2 was released on 5 May 2022 and includes AVHRR images from August 1989 to October 2001 and MODIS images from March 2000 through the present. The NSIDC will be providing monthly updates to this data set with new MODIS imagery.
