SMAP Releases Level-2 and Level-3 Soil Moisture Data

The NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) is pleased to announce the release of SMAP L2 Radiometer Half-Orbit 36 km EASE-Grid Soil Moisture and SMAP L3 Radiometer Global Daily 36 km EASE-Grid Soil Moisture data sets. These Level-2 (L2) and Level-3 (L3) soil moisture products provide gridded estimates of global land surface conditions retrieved by the Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) passive microwave radiometer.
