Data Announcement

New version release: IceBridge Sander AIRGrav L1B Geolocated Free Air Gravity Anomalies, Version 2

Version 2 of IceBridge Sander AIRGrav L1B Geolocated Free Air Gravity Anomalies is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This new version is a re-analysis of the entire data set using continuous flights of data instead of sub-sections of flights based on aircraft motion. This improvement removes discontinuities in the data that had been present when the sections were joined back together. In addition, gravity data is provided regardless of flight conditions, eliminating previous coverage gaps. Acceleration variables (ACC_HOR, ACC_VER) are now available to assess flight conditions.

Version 1 of this data set will be retired from the NSIDC DAAC in the beginning of March 2025. Upon retirement, data will no longer be accessible, but all related documentation will remain available on the data set web page for future reference.
