NSCAT Daily SIR-Enhanced EASE-Grid 2.0 Radar Backscatter, Version 1 and SASS Daily SIR-Enhanced EASE-Grid 2.0 Radar Backscatter, Version 1 are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). These data sets are newly processed radar backscatter products from the NASA Scatterometer (NSCAT) and Seasat-A Scatterometer (SASS) instruments with the Scatterometer Image Reconstruction (SIR) or Drop-in-the-Bucket gridding (GRD) applied. Data are available on the Northern Hemisphere, Southern Hemisphere, and Temperate EASE-Grid 2.0 projections as 25 km or 3.125 km resolution grids. For NSCAT, temporal coverage is from 14 September 1996 through 28 June 1997 with 4 day and 8 day imaging periods. SASS data are available from 7 July 1978 to 8 October 1978 with 8 day, 16 day and 32 day imaging periods.
