Data Announcement

NASA SnowEx 2017 BRDF Data Now Available

Measurements of the bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) at two locations in Colorado—Grand Mesa, a snow-covered, forested study site about 40 miles east of Grand Junction, and Senator Beck Basin approximately 80 miles to the SSE of Grand Mesa—are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).

These data were obtained during the NASA SnowEx 2017 campaign using the Cloud Absorption Radiometer, an airborne multi-angular, multi-wavelength scanning radiometer that measures scattered light in 14 spectral bands.
