Data set updates: Multiple ATLAS/ICESat-2 expedited latency “quick look” products updated to Version 6

The ATL07QL, ATL08QL, ATL09QL, and ATL10QL data sets, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), have updated to Version 6.  Availability of Version 5 data ended on 17 January 2023 with the addition of files from 14 January 2023.  Temporal coverage for the expedited latency Version 6 files begins on 14 January 2023.  Published Version 5 expedited latency files will be replaced with Version 6 final files as the final files become available.

The data sets, which include sea ice height, land and vegetation height, atmospheric layer characteristics, and sea ice freeboard, are typically provided to users within 3 days of satellite observation. These expedited data are part of NASA's Land, Atmosphere Near real-time Capability for EOS (LANCE) program.

The NSIDC DAAC provides access to documentation and the Version 6 data sets from the following locations.
