The MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Velocity: Selected Glacier Site Velocity Maps from Optical Images, Version 3 data set, accessible from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated. New data have been added so the data set now spans 1 March 1985 - 31 December 2020. This data set is part of the NASA Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) program. It consists of mean monthly velocity maps for selected glacier outlet areas. The maps are generated by tracking visible features between optical image pairs acquired by Landsat 4,5, 7 and 8 and the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER).
