The temporal coverage for the ICESat-2 L4 Monthly Gridded Sea Ice Thickness, Version 1 (IS2SITMOGR4) data set, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been extended to include data for September 2019 (supplementing the existing data for the 2019-2020 winter season), as well as September 2020 through April 2021. This data set reports monthly, gridded winter sea ice thickness across the Arctic Ocean. Sea ice thickness is estimated using ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3A Sea Ice Freeboard (ATL10), Version 4 data and NASA Eulerian Snow On Sea Ice Model (NESOSIM) snow loading. The data set now covers the following intervals: November 2018 – April 2019, September 2019 – April 2020, September 2020 – April 2021. Data set DOI: https://doi.org/10.5067/CV6JEXEE31HF
