General Project Manager

About Ann

Ann Windnagel is a data manager for the NOAA program at NSIDC. Her work focuses on the curation of cryospheric data from satellites, in situ observations, old and sometimes forgotten but valuable analog data, and data sets from operational communities such as the U.S. National Ice Center and the U.S. Navy. She provides guidance on good data management practices and researches, creates, and edits both new and existing technical documentation for a broad array of cryospheric data sets and topics. In addition, Windnagel provides project management for the development of new data products and web applications to visualize data. With her decades of experience in data analysis, information systems, and data curation, Windnagel has helped the NOAA team publish data that have become some of the most widely used at NSIDC.
