The final temporal coverage for the data is 1 November 1978 to 31 December 2025. The data will remain available for download as a static product at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).
A possible alternative for users of the Bootstrap Sea Ice Concentrations from Nimbus-7 SMMR and DMSP SSM/I-SSMIS data product is the NOAA/NSIDC Climate Data Record of Passive Microwave Sea Ice Concentration, Version 6.
