New version release: V4 ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3B Gridded Antarctic and Arctic Land Ice Height and Change

Versions 4 of both ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3B Gridded Antarctic and Arctic Land Ice Height (ATL14) and ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3B Gridded Antarctic and Arctic Land Ice Height Change (ATL15) are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). ATL14 is a high-resolution (100 m) digital elevation model (DEM) that provides spatially continuous gridded data of ice sheet surface height. ATL15 provides coarser resolution (1 km, 10 km, 20 km, and 40 km) height-change maps at 3-month intervals. These improved versions now have a temporal coverage from 1 Jan 2019 to 28 Dec 2023.

Versions 3 of these data sets will be retired from the NSIDC DAAC in 6 months time. Upon retirement at the end of January 2025, data will no longer be accessible, but all related documentation will remain available on the data set web page for future reference.
