The SnowEx20 Grand Mesa Autumn 2019 Snow Pits, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains snow pit measurements obtained during the SnowEx 2020 campaign at the Grand Mesa, Colorado, USA site in Autumn 2019. Twenty-one snow pit locations were visited during the period 04 November 2019 – 06 November 2019. Some snow pit measurements are incomplete due to shallow or discontinuous snow cover. The main parameters measured were temperature, snow density, stratigraphy, and grain size. On rare occasions snow permittivity was measured to derive liquid water content (LWC).
