Engineering-Geocryological Investigations in the Yamal Peninsula Gas Fields, Russia, Version 1
Data set id:
GGD302

Overview

This project collected information on snow cover, geocryology, geophysics, soil properties, ground temperature, and active layer depth in the area of the Yamal Peninsula gas fields and pipelines in Russia. Data were collected during 1969-72, 1977, 1979-80, 1984, and 1986-90. Results are mapped and shown on engineering-geocryological profiles (scale 1:500 to 1:10000), and on maps of engineering-geocryological regionalization (scale 1:10000 to 1:25000). Data are stored at the National Geocryological Fund, Moscow, under the following Archive Numbers: 13666; 13957; 16505; 13957; 14038; 16197; 14332; 16478; 16478; 10917(7398); 11134(7843); 11350; 16732; 13934, 15611, 16163, 16950; 13274; 16128; 14098; 16189; 16128; 13613; 16970; 17208; 17431; and 17644.
