NSIDC DAAC would like to announce a change to data access for the MEaSUREs InSAR-Based Ice Velocity of the Amundsen Sea Embayment, Antarctica, Version 1 data set. Data access is now solely through our primary archive at: https://n5eil01u.ecs.nsidc.org/MEASURES/NSIDC-0545.001/.

The Bootstrap Sea Ice Concentrations from Nimbus-7 SMMR and DMSP SSM/I-SSMIS data set available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) has been updated to Version 3. The following changes were made to this version of data:

Version 1 of the VIIRS/NPP Sea Ice Cover 6-Min L2 Swath 375 m (VNP29) data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).

The NASA IceBridge Ku-Band Radar L1B Geolocated Radar Echo Strength Profiles data set available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) has been updated through 18 November 2016.

MEaSUREs Annual Greenland Outlet Glacier Terminus Positions from SAR Mosaics, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) as version 1.2. For this minor version, glaciers were added to two winters:
2006/2007 -- glaciers 90 and 91
2008/2009 -- glaciers 1-9, 90, and 91

The NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) has added SMMR data to the MEaSUREs Calibrated Enhanced-Resolution Passive Microwave Daily EASE-Grid 2.0 Brightness Temperature ESDR, Version 1 data set.

Also, the F10 data from this data set is now available at version 1.2. The minor change in this version corrects the handling of QC flags to retain more data, eliminating only the flagged data in a given channel and taking care not to eliminate data in other channels.

The MEaSUREs Greenland Annual Ice Sheet Velocity Mosaics from SAR and Landsat, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).

NASA SnowEx17 SnowMicroPen (SMP) Raw Penetration Force Profiles data are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains raw penetration force profiles measured at snow pits and along linear transects at Grand Mesa, Colorado using the SMP, a digital snow penetrometer.

NASA IceBridge BedMachine Greenland Version 3 data are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). Version 3 includes ocean bathymetry all around Greenland based on data from NASA’s Ocean Melting Greenland (OMG) and other campaigns of bathymetry measurements. The subglacial bed topography has also been updated by including more ice thickness data and constraining the ice thickness at the ice/ocean interface based on bathymetry data when available.

NSIDC DAAC would like to announce a change to data access for the MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Velocity: Selected Glacier Site Velocity Maps from InSAR, Version 1 data set. Direct download data access has changed for this data set to https://daacdata.apps.nsidc.org/pub/DATASETS/nsidc0481_MEASURES_greenla…, which allows files to be contained in folders by subregion. Data is still available for searching and ordering in Earthdata Search.

The F14 data from the MEaSUREs Calibrated Enhanced-Resolution Passive Microwave Daily EASE-Grid 2.0 Brightness Temperature ESDR, Version 1 data set is now available at version 1.2. The NASA IceBridge MCoRDS L1B Geolocated Radar Echo Strength Profiles, Version 2 data set now includes data for the 2016 Antarctica campaign. This data set contains radar echograms taken from the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets (CReSIS) ultra Multichannel Coherent Radar Depth Sounder (MCoRDS) over land and sea ice in the Arctic and Antarctic.

NASA IceBridge MCoRDS L2 Ice Thickness data for 2016 Antarctica are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains depth sounder measurements of elevation, surface, bottom, and thickness for Greenland and Antarctica taken from the Multichannel Coherent Radar Depth Sounder (MCoRDS).

NASA IceBridge DMS L0 Camera Calibration for Summer 2017 Arctic are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains camera calibration reports for IceBridge Digital Mapping System (DMS) missions flown over Antarctica and Greenland.

NASA IceBridge DMS L1B Geolocated and Orthorectified Images for the Summer 2017 Arctic campaign are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains Level-1B imagery taken from the Digital Mapping System (DMS) over Greenland and Antarctica.
