The MEaSUREs Greenland Monthly Image Mosaics from MODIS, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set, part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program, provides monthly image mosaics of the Greenland coastline and ice sheet periphery. The image mosaics are constructed from composited MODIS imagery, acquired each month between March 2008 to September 2016.

NASA IceBridge DMS L0 Camera Calibration for 2017 Arctic are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains camera calibration reports for IceBridge Digital Mapping System (DMS) missions flown over Antarctica and Greenland.

NASA IceBridge POS/AV L1B Corrected Position and Attitude Data for 2017 Arctic are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains georeferencing data from the Applanix 510 POS AV system flown with the Digital Mapping System (DMS) and other instruments over Greenland and Antarctica.

NASA IceBridge HiCARS 1 L1B Time-Tagged Echo Strength Profiles data are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains Antarctica radar sounder echo strength profiles from the Hi-Capability Radar Sounder (HiCARS) Version 1 instrument.

The NASA IceBridge ATM L4 Surface Elevation Rate of Change data set now includes measurements based on 2016 data. This data set contains surface elevation rate of change measurements derived from IceBridge and Pre-IceBridge Airborne Topographic Mapper (ATM) widescan elevation measurements data (ILATM1B) for Arctic and Antarctica missions flown under NASA's Operation IceBridge (OIB) and Arctic Ice Mapping (AIM) projects.

NSIDC would like to announce a change to data access for the MEaSUREs Annual Greenland Outlet Glacier Terminus Positions from SAR, Version 1 data set. Data access is now solely through our primary portal at: https://n5eil01u.ecs.nsidc.org/MEASURES/NSIDC-0642.001/. File level spatial and temporal metadata have been added to aid in searching the data.

Version 1 of the VIIRS/NPP Snow Cover 6-Min Swath 375m (VNP10) data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).

The VIIRS snow cover algorithm has been specifically designed to be compatible with MODIS Terra and Aqua Version 6 snow cover data sets, to ensure continuity between the products and facilitate a climate-data record from the three sensors.

MEaSUREs has added SSMIS data from the F16 platform to the MEaSUREs Calibrated Enhanced-Resolution Passive Microwave Daily EASE-Grid 2.0 Brightness Temperature ESDR, Version 1 data set available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set is part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program.

This data set contains radar echograms taken from the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets (CReSIS) ultra Multichannel Coherent Radar Depth Sounder (MCoRDS) over land and sea ice in the Arctic and Antarctic.

NASA IceBridge ATM L2 Icessn Elevation, Slope, and Roughness data for 2016 Antarctica are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains resampled and smoothed elevation measurements of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice, and Greenland, Antarctic Peninsula, and West Antarctic region land ice surface acquired using the NASA Airborne Topographic Mapper (ATM) instrumentation.

This data set, part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program, provides 6 and 12-day 50 m resolution image mosaics of the Greenland coastline and ice sheet periphery.

The Sea Ice Concentrations from Nimbus-7 SMMR and DMSP SSM/I-SSMIS Passive Microwave Data data set available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) has been updated through 28 February 2017.

The MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Velocity: Selected Glacier Site Velocity Maps from InSAR data set at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) has been updated with velocity maps for 2016. This release, Version 1.2, includes new browse images, metadata files, and more descriptive file names, and fills in some missing 2015 files.
