The MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Velocity: Selected Glacier Site Velocity Maps from InSAR, Version 1 data set, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated to include data from December 2018 and January 2019.

The MEaSUREs Global Record of Daily Landscape Freeze/Thaw Status, Version 4 data set, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated to include data for 2017. This data set, part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program, contains two global records of the daily freeze/thaw (F/T) status of the landscape.

The IceBridge Watson-Gyro Fluxgate Magnetometer L1B Time-Tagged Magnetic Field, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) from 29 December 2008 through 14 January 2013. This data set contains time-registered Level-1B field readings taken over Antarctica using the Watson-Gyro Fluxgate Magnetometer instrument. The data were collected as part of Operation IceBridge funded aircraft survey campaigns.

The ASO L4 Lidar Snow Depth 3m UTM Grid, Version 1; ASO L4 Lidar Snow Depth 50m UTM Grid, Version 1; and ASO L4 Lidar Snow Water Equivalent 50m UTM Grid, Version 1 data sets, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), have been updated to include new data for 2013 and 2018.

The High Mountain Asia GFDL FLOR Modeled Daily Precipitation for Extreme Analysis, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set includes three climate simulations of daily precipitation over the Himalayan region for summer and winter: two 30-member ensemble simulations from 1961-2000 and 2061-2100, and one present-day climate simulation from 1982 to 2017 forced with observed sea surface temperatures, air temperatures, and winds.

The DMSP SSM/I-SSMIS Daily Polar Gridded Brightness Temperatures, Version 5 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains daily gridded brightness temperatures derived from the Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I) sensor aboard the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) F8, F11, and F13 platforms and the Special Sensor Microwave Imager/Sounder (SSMIS) sensor aboard the DMSP F17 and F18 platforms.

The DMSP SSM/I-SSMIS Pathfinder Daily EASE-Grid Brightness Temperatures, Version 2 data set, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been extended through 03 April 2019. This data set contains brightness temperatures derived from the Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I) and the Special Sensor Microwave Imager/Sounder (SSMIS) instruments. The spatial resolution is 25 km for all channels; the 85 and 91 GHz channels are also provided at a 12.5 km resolution.

The Arctic Sea Ice Seasonal Change and Melt/Freeze Climate Indicators from Satellite Data, Version 1 data set, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated from a basic to a standard level of service. The ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3A Ocean Surface Height, Version 1 data set from the Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) mission is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains along-track sea surface heights at variable length scales over cloud-free regions. Estimates of height distributions, surface roughness, surface slope, and apparent reflectance are also provided.

Two additional High Mountain Asia data sets are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). The High Mountain Asia Landslide Catalog, Version 1 data set includes landslide event locations and characteristics from February 1956 to December 2018. The High Mountain Asia Langtang Snow Properties, Version 1 data set contains surface area measurements from the Yala Glacier, Nepal on 23-24 April 2018.

The Snow Melt Onset Over Arctic Sea Ice from SMMR and SSM/I-SSMIS Brightness Temperatures, Version 4 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set includes yearly snow melt onset dates derived from Scanning Multichannel Microwave Radiometer (SMMR), Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I), and the Special Sensor Microwave Imager/Sounder (SSMIS) brightness temperature measurements.

New data access options are available for the MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Mapping Project (GIMP) 2000 Image Mosaic, Version 1 data set, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). The download location for this data set has changed, and both spatial and temporal searching are now available through Earthdata Search.

Multiple Level-1B, Level-2, and Level-3A data sets from the Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) mission are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). These data sets provide backscatter profiles; geolocated photon data; atmospheric layer characteristics; and geolocated surface elevations for land ice, sea ice, vegetation and land, and inland water. The data are available beginning 13 October 2018 and may have gaps in coverage due to processing lag times.

The first data sets from NASA’s Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).

The MEaSUREs Northern Hemisphere Polar EASE-Grid 2.0 Daily 6 km Land Freeze/Thaw Status from AMSRE and AMSR2, Version 1 data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated to include data through 31 December 2017. This data set, part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program, consists of a Northern Hemisphere daily landscape freeze/thaw status at 6 km resolution.

The Quicklook Arctic Weekly EASE-Grid Sea Ice Motion Vectors, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set is the quicklook version of the Polar Pathfinder Daily 25 km EASE-Grid Sea Ice Motion Vectors data product. It contains weekly sea ice motion vectors, as well as browse images, from 01 January 2019 through the present.

The Quicklook Arctic Weekly EASE-Grid Sea Ice Age, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set is the quicklook version of the EASE-Grid Sea Ice Age product. It contains weekly estimates of sea ice age for the Arctic Ocean, as well as browse images, from 01 January 2019 through the present. The data are derived from the Quicklook Arctic Weekly EASE-Grid Sea Ice Motion Vectors data set.

The Multilayer Greenland Ice Surface Temperature, Surface Albedo, and Water Vapor from MODIS, Version 1 data set has been updated to a standard level of service at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). More extensive documentation and support options are now available for this data set.

The AfriSAR LVIS L0 Raw Ranges, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) from 20 February 2016 through 08 March 2016. This data set contains raw laser altimeter, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Global Positioning System (GPS), and camera files over Gabon, Africa, taken from the NASA Land, Vegetation, and Ice Sensor (LVIS). The data were collected as part of a NASA campaign in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) mission, AfriSAR.
