81st Annual Eastern Snow Conference
We are excited to announce that the 81st Annual Eastern Snow Conference will be held at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, USA from June 10-12, 2025. The ESC will be hosted at Syracuse University’s Heroy Geology Laboratory and Schine Student Center. The meeting will include a welcome event on the evening of June 10, a full day of presentations on June 11 followed by a banquet, and likely a half day of presentations on June 12. A detailed schedule will be distributed after the abstract submission deadline.
Presentations on all aspects of snow and ice research are welcome, including, but not limited to, in situ and remote measurement of snow and ice covers, snow hydrology, snow water resources, lake and river ice, snow modeling, glaciology, new advances in snow and ice observation technology, and social and ecological interactions with snow.
Abstracts can be submitted here, where you will also find abstract guidelines and a template, and are due March 31, 2025. Students are reminded that they are eligible for several awards, and you should identify your status for consideration by having your advisor confirm your student status in an email to the Chair of the Research Committee, Melissa Wrzesien (melissa.l.wrzesien@nasa.gov).
