The Nimbus Data Rescue Project has released six new data sets, now available for download at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). These data sets consist of infrared imagery, brightness temperatures, and atmospheric water vapor obtained in 1970-71 by the Temperature-Humidity Infrared Radiometer (THIR) on board the Nimbus 4 satellite.
