Contributions to the Arctic Report Card (ARC)

  • Arctic Report Card 2026 (due out in December 2026) will be the 21st edition of the report.
  • This report examines Arctic climate during the previous water year (October 1 through September 30).
  • ARC comes out roughly two months after the end of the water year in question.
  • ARC has been published by NOAA since 2006. The upcoming edition is to be published with support from the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
  • NSIDC data sets have been used in every Arctic Report Card.
