The SnowEx23 Oct23 IOP Snow Pits and Substrate Conditions at Freeze Up, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set presents snow pit measurements collected during the NASA SnowEx October 2023 Intensive Observation Period in Alaska, USA. Three study areas represented boreal forest snow near Fairbanks, AK: Farmers Loop Creamers Field, Caribou Poker Creek Research Watershed, and Bonanza Creek Experimental Forest. Temporal coverage spans from 17 October 2023 to 28 October 2023.
