The Near-Real-Time DMSP SSM/I-SSMIS Daily Polar Gridded Brightness Temperatures, Version 2 data set is now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). With Version 2, the data are now provided in NetCDF format and temporal coverage begins on 1 November 2021. Links to scripts that convert the NetCDF back to the original binary format are available in the data set documentation. The Version 1 data in binary format will remain available until 31 December 2022. After that date, the data will only be provided in NetCDF format.
