Recently recovered satellite images of Earth, captured between 23 April, 1969 to 21 January, 1970 by the Image Dissector Camera System onboard the Nimbus 3 satellite, are now available from NSIDC. A collection of more than 26,000 images, digitized from archival rolls of 70 mm black-and-white film, the Nimbus Image Dissector Camera System Visible Imagery L1, HDF5 (NmIDCS1H) data set is the second release from the Nimbus Data Rescue Project data collection.
