The CryoSat-2 Level-4 Sea Ice Elevation, Freeboard, and Thickness, Version 1 (RDEFT4), and CryoSat-2 Level-1B Waveforms, Sea Ice Elevation, and Surface Roughness, Version 1 (RDWES1B) data sets, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), are complete and will no longer receive further updates. The RDEFT4 data set contains estimates of Arctic sea ice thickness and concentration, ice freeboard and surface roughness, as well as snow density and depth, derived from the ESA CryoSat-2 Synthetic Aperture Interferometric Radar Altimeter (SIRAL), while RDWES1B contains surface elevations from retracked CryoSat-2 waveforms, as well as model fitting parameters used to retrack the waveform. The time span of the data covers mid-September 2010 to 15 May 2025.
