Registration for GLIMS Workshop New Zealand EXTENDED

I wanted to bring to your attention that the deadline for the GLIMS New
Zealand workshop registration has now been extended to 20 January 2006.

The website will be updated soon with new registration deadlines and contact
information, but please note that all registrations and abstracts are now to

this workshop.
 
All information about the venue, transportation, accommodation, planned field
trips and excursions is available on the website. Please also direct any

The 2006 GLIMS workshop will be held in New Zealand from 6-10 February 2006.
This workshop will be run in conjunction with New Zealand's Snow and Ice
Research Group (SIRG) workshop, which will offer us an enlightening view on
local research.This workshop will serve as a venue for presentation of
science results and discussion of any concerns by GLIMS members and others in
the glaciological community. In addition, we will pursue the final
organization and writing of chapters for a technical book on the topic of
Global Land Ice Measurements from Space (provisional publisher is
Praxis-Springer).



This workshop has kindly been organised by our local hosts from the
University of Canterbury, the National Institute for Water and Atmospheric
Research (NIWA) and Antarctica New Zealand.
