Dear all,

Unfortunately I’m not going to the mini workshop in the US this week, but
I have followed the discussion with special interest, because an important
part of our research in Chile has been benefited by GLIMS and ASTER
images. I understand the necessity of new priorities, however, I agree
with Jeff that the Regional centers need to have a better role in defining
from where they would like to have more data. We have some ideas about new
areas in Southern Chile (for instance the Chilean Lake District and
Cordillera Darwin) but I think is better not to overcharge this mailing
list with such kind of details. Maybe we can send our ideas to Jeff
separately.
