Hi all,

I hope everyone is doing well while hunkered down.

The "year maps" feature, also sometimes called "RGI on demand", is now
available at glims.org. It is still experimental and imperfect, but I
hope it will make easier the task of downloading GLIMS data as of a
particular date. We welcome your feedback.

Whether downloading via the map interface
(http://www.glims.org/maps/glims), a query on a particular glacier, or the
text-search interface (http://www.glims.org/maps/textsearch/), the download
page now offers an additional choice: "GLIMS (multi-temporal) data", or
"Snapshot (RGI) data". If you select the second option, you can enter
a date for which you want GLIMS glacier data. The outlines in the database
with as-of dates closest to the selected date will be packaged up for you.
An additional attribute is included: the number of days between your
target date and the as-of date of the outline. You can use this to filter
out data that are too far in time from your selected date for your
application.

Best regards,
Bruce
