Dear Chinese friends and those knowing young Chinese mountain researchers,

Please circulate among your young Chinese colleagues and eligible new graduates this announcement of an opportunity in Nepal. Chinese nationals are solicited for applications. If your young research colleagues have not been to Nepal, I can attest that it is a fantastic country to work in for anybody interested in mountains. Hazards and risk reduction related to glaciers, glacial lakes, landslides, and floods of any sort pose huge challenges to Nepal and across the transboundary region in the Himalaya-Hindu Kush. Also huge is this opportunity to help with risk reduction. ICIMOD is a great organization to work for. So, I urge your young colleagues, or any Chinese national interested in transboundary risk reduction in the Himalayan region to consider this opportunity and submit an application.
I am not connected with this job posting. I am only wanting to facilitate transboundary cooperation, research, and education, to boost Nepal's position in Earth science in the region, and of course as a courtesy to my friends at ICIMOD and in China.
