[GLIMS] GLIMS Update: GDEM2 coming, late August

Dear GLIMS participants,
Please see the news below regarding GDEM2.  I am not sure what defects from GDEM1 will be rectified, but we can hope it will be a much improved ASTER global elevation product.

GDEM2 is undergoing validation. We hope to have this done later this month, and will release it in August (probably the end)
