Remote sensing position in the glacier, snow and ice section at NVE (2 years)

The successful applicant will work on different tasks concerning Norwegian glaciers, should be thorough and systematic and able to work well with others.
The position demands qualification at the master's degree level or similar in
remote sensing and geographic information systems or glaciology. Experience in the analysis of remote sensing data
and GIS data is preferred. Knowledge and experience is required in several of these areas:
- remote sensing and image processing
- geographic information systems (GIS)
- glaciology
- programming

The work involves analysis of satellite images, monitoring of glacier change and work on the
new glacier atlas of Norway. It will also be possible to participate in fieldwork
