Dear GLIMS colleagues,
This GLIMS Working Session Update includes some new information and urgent
request for information from you. There will be one final update before
the meeting with final/full logistical information and a final agenda. The
meeting will be held at Goddard Spaceflight Center on Wednesday, June 6,
2001, 3:30-8:30 p.m. This meeting will follow a tour of Goddard
Spaceflight Center and will be held in conjunction with the International
Symposium on Remote Sensing in Glaciology (June 4-8) in College Park,
Maryland, U.S.A. Apologies to those of you who may receive this message
in duplicate. Please help me to ensure that your interested colleagues
receive this message by passing it on to them.
CONTENTS:
1. URGENT message for any international attendees of the GLIMS session
who do not have a "green card." You MUST respond before May 1!
2. LAST CHANCE to register. This is the final opportunity to register for
the GLIMS
working group meeting, so please inform any colleagues you think may be
interested in participating.
3. PARTICIPANTS' LIST as of April 20, 2001 (please check to see whether you
are on the list).
4. ADVANCE PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION DUE by May 18-- $18 U.S. includes
dinner.
5. Buffet dinner items.

1`. URGENT!!! FOR INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS (NON-U.S. CITIZENS) WHO DO NOT
HAVE A "GREEN CARD":
If you plan to attend the GLIMS meeting at Goddard you will need to fill
out paperwork in advance in order to be admitted to GSFC. If you are one
of these people and you don't have prior approval, you will not be able to
get on Center and you cannot get your money back after May 20 for the
dinner either. Please fill out the forms that are attached at the end of
this message from the following website and fax them to Mary Floyd (fax #
301-345-4659) [Mfloyd at westover-gb.com] BEFORE May 1, 2001.

5. DINNER:
A caterer called "Putting on the Ritz" will provide a buffet dinner. The
cost including tip and tax is $18.00/person for the following:

The agenda is subject to change, but please consider how tight the schedule
is. Given the time constraints, the final agenda will be VERY STRICTLY

want to change the title of your presentation, to give a presentation but
