[GLIMS] Sad news: Gordon Hamiltion

Dear GLIMS community,

I learned yesterday that Gordon Hamilton, a long-time valuable member of 
the GLIMS community and wonderful guy, was killed when he fell into
a crevasse while riding a snowmobile on the McMurdo Ice Shelf.  I'm sure
all who knew him are deeply saddened by this tragedy.
