[GLIMS] GLIMS Update: data security

Dear GLIMS colleagues,
In my opinion, a little preventive caution now--like a full and complete computer data backup-- could reduce chances of big losses later.  Also, in my paranoid opinion, be prepared to use voice links (phone, skype, etc.) for simple communications in event of wide-scale malicious attacks on email. If you're involved in glacier or climate change research, assume that you're a likely target.
