Glacier Classification Manual (pictorial dictionary of glacier parameters)

Hi all,

Frank Rau (RC #18 Antarctica, University of Freiburg) and others have
written a glacier classification manual.  Frank introduced it at the GLIMS
workshop held in Chamonix in 2002.  The manual provides a pictorial
dictionary of glacier parameters, and also extends the glacier
classification system used in the World Glacier Monitoring Service's World
Glacier Inventory.  We ask that members of the GLIMS community read it and
provide feedback to the authors.  (Frank is on his way to New Zealand, so I
am posting this in his stead.)
