proper citation of (free) ASTER data

Dear GLIMS colleagues,Please make proper and full citation of ASTER data when making use of it. The citation should be:"ASTER image data courtesy of NASA/METI/AIST/Japan Spacesystems and U.S./Japan ASTER Science Team." Bruce: Can you check to see how the citation requirements are indicated in the GLIMS website, and modify as needed. There could be similar citation info for Landsat and any other free data. Cheers,Jeff Kargel(from the ASTER Science Team meeting, Tokyo)

Hi Jeff, The GLIMS website does not give citation guidance for ASTER or other imagery, since we don't provide ASTER data directly (or even indirectly anymore) or other imagery. However, the GLIMS Analysis Tutorial is due for a new edition, and perhaps we could include a section on proper data citation there. Thanks, Bruce 2016-06-07, 01:01: Jeffrey wrote:
