The Frozen Ground Data Center (FGDC) serves as a central node of the IPA Global Geocryological Data (GGD) system. The GGD is an internationally distributed system linking investigators and data centers around the world. Many of the products listed here are available directly through the FGDC and some are held by other institutions. For those data sets held by other institutions, NSIDC provides the original metadata for the data set, and asks users to contact the Principal Investigator to access the data.
Note: After clicking on this link to the NSIDC Search Tool, the words Frozen Ground Data should automatically display in the main search box. However, if those words don't automatically display, in order to list all of the data for the FGDC in your search, type the words Frozen Ground Data in the main search box. A listing of all of the GGD FGDC data sets will display.
You can access the Frozen Ground Data Sets through the NSIDC Search Tool.
