Data set updates: Multiple ATLAS/ICESat-2 expedited latency “quick look” products updating to Version 6

The ATL07QL, ATL08QL, ATL09QL, and ATL10QL data sets, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), will be updating from Version 5 to Version 6. On 17 January 2023, ATL07QL, ATL08QL, ATL09QL, ATL10QL Version 5 data will no longer be added, creating a gap in the “quick look” temporal coverage until Version 6 data are released on 19 January 2023.

The data sets, which include sea ice height, land and vegetation height, atmospheric layer characteristics, and sea ice freeboard, are typically provided to users within 3 days of satellite observation. These expedited data are part of NASA's Land, Atmosphere Near real-time Capability for EOS (LANCE) program.

The NSIDC DAAC provides access to documentation and the Version 5 data sets from the following locations.  An additional email will be sent with links to the Version 6 data when they become available.
