Tool Description
NSIDC IceBridge Data Portal The latest release of the IceBridge data portal provides access to all available Operation IceBridge science data through the ftp hierarchy. Future releases will add map-based visualization of Antarctic flight tracks. The portal is currently supported in Firefox 3.6+, Chrome 6.0+, or Safari 3.0+ browsers.

Software Tools

The following table provides links to software tools on the NSIDC FTP server for reading and viewing NASA IceBridge data. Each tool is contained in a .tar archive file with a readme file and an example output file. Click on the link under the Tool heading to download the tool.

Tool Description
Applanix MATLAB reader MATLAB reader for Applanix data files. For information on Applanix data, see theIceBridge POS/AV L1B Corrected Position and Attitude Data landing page.
Applanix SBET file Perl reader Perl reader for IceBridge Applanix SBET data. Reads a binary SBET file and writes the data to standard output. For information on SBET data, see the IceBridge POS/AV L1B Corrected Position and Attitude Data landing page.
Applanix SBET file C reader C reader for IceBridge Applanix SBET data. For information on SBET data, see theIceBridge POS/AV L1B Corrected Position and Attitude Data landing page.
ATM qfit data C reader

C reader for IceBridge ATM Version 1 qfit data. This version of the reader automatically determines whether the data endianness is big-endian or little-endian. For information on qfit data, see the IceBridge ATM L1B Qfit Elevation and Return Strength, Version 1 landing page.

Python script for finding matching laser shots in ATM narrow-swath data sets Python code for finding matching laser shots in both the IceBridge Narrow Swath ATM L1B Elevation and Return Strength with Waveforms and the IceBridge ATM L1B Near-Infrared Waveforms data products.
DMS MATLAB reader MATLAB reader for IceBridge DMS L1B data. For information on DMS data, see the IceBridge DMS L1B Geolocated and Orthorectified Images landing page.
LVIS C reader C reader for IceBridge LVIS data. Reads a binary data file from the Operation IceBridge LVIS instrument and prints the records to standard output. The tar file also contains how-to instructions for using the reader in win32. LVIS IDL Readers IDL readers for LVIS and LVIS-Global Hawk Level-1B and Level-2 data. (Readers were tested at NSIDC with IDL 8.3 on ubuntu.)

CReSIS MATLAB C reader C reader for Version 1 Level-1B MATLAB data files from CReSIS MCoRDSKu-band Radar and Accumulation Radar instruments.
CReSIS MATLAB IDL reader IDL reader for Version 1 Level-1B MATLAB data files from CReSIS MCoRDSKu-band Radar and Accumulation Radar instruments.
CReSIS L1B MATLAB readers MATLAB readers for loading, plotting, and elevation compensation for Version 2 CReSIS MCoRDSKu-band RadarSnow Radar and Accumulation Radar Level-1B products.
