EASE-Grid Ancillary

Ancillary data products are described in more detail on the Ancillary Data Web page. These global data sets are derived from MODIS (Collection 4) data obtained between July 1 and December 31, 2000 and developed by the Boston University Land Cover and Surface Climate Group. They can be used to examine, for example, fractional coverage of specific land cover types or the average elevation in EASE-Grid pixels at various resolutions.
