Overview

This data set contains a 2-m resolution DEM composite and auxiliary parameters over the Chamoli disaster area in Uttarakhand, India, where on 7 February 2021 a glacier burst led to a massive flood. This is the pre-event DEM constructed from monoscopic Maxar/DigitalGlobe WorldView-1 and WorldView-2 images collected in September 2015. A post-event DEM is available as a separate data set (https://nsidc.org/data/HMA2_CPOST).
