This data set contains yearly summaries and reports of these iceberg sightings beginning in 2024 for the IIP's Area of Responsibility (AOR) in the North Atlantic (40° N to 60° N, 40° W to 60° W) during the iceberg season. The iceberg season runs from 1 October of one year to 30 September of the next year. Each year contains two files: a one page summary PDF and full iceberg season PDF report. The summary provides a concise graphical overview. Each year’s iceberg season severity is ranked as light, moderate, severe, or extreme, and given historical context in a graph of annual severity beginning in 1900. The summary also includes a monthly graph of the year’s number of icebergs estimated crossing south of 48° N, along with the climatological average.<br><br>
